About Me.

Hello, my name is Alfredo Anthony Lomeli (Alfy).

I am currently on the road to becoming a high school history teacher. Once I finish with Ivytech, I will transfer to IUPUI to finish my education. I had the idea of becoming a teacher when I got the opportunity to teach a couple of classes in high school. History has been an interest of mine, and I would occasionally read my textbooks for fun.

Other than that, I am currently working in customer service at the Indianapolis airport to pay for my classes. School, especially college, has been a rocky road for me. As you will see if you read my Educational Autobiography, under classroom artifacts. However, I kept persevering.

I am Autistic. I was diagnosed in the 6th grade. I do not feel that it is something I need to hide. Unfortunately, I have experienced some prejudice because of it, but I do not let that stop me. 

​

Lastly, I am a very kind and helpful person. I've been told numerous times by friends about how nice I am and even how the "nice" trait seems to be something disappearing these days. I like watching documentaries about almost any subject. Reading is also a hobby of mine, and you might find me at a "Half-Price Books" once in a while. I like to collect stuff, especially records and newspapers, among other things.
